Our Story

We would like to tell you a little bit about how Castle View Nursery became established.

Back in 2010 as two local residents living on The George Downing estate (Cazenove Rd, Stoke Newington) we were eager to develop the almost unused community centre in the heart of our estate.

After many months of building relationships and running negotiations with the social landlord, we finally took over the management of the space and began running it as a social enterprise.

The organisation has since grown and now trades as a charity – The Boiler House – which currently manages two community buildings on estates in Hackney, offering various activities, courses, events, rehearsal space and general hire for the local community at affordable rates.

As a charity we also deliver various projects focusing on community engagement and development. Our passion is to contribute to creating happier and healthier communities.

Whilst it has been a lot of hard work, with some tough challenges along the way, we can both honestly say that we have never been more motivated or enjoyed anything more. We have a great team behind us and are both passionate about the future of the nursery.

As parents ourselves to young children, we recognise that you need to feel confident and comfortable with the childcare that you choose. We want children to achieve in an enjoyable learning environment, whilst giving parents the reassurance that their child’s carers are devoted to quality childcare.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at our website, which we hope you find informative.

We look forward to meeting you and your children soon.
